All Hallows Eve Wallpaper

October 31st, 2010 No comments

All Hallows Eve is the night when the dead return the waking world for one night. This is due to the supernatural imbalance of the altering seasons. It is based on the Wiccan celebration of Samhain. This wallpaper shows a typical stereotype of halloween, with scary pumpkins, wicked witches, skulls and all the symbols of darkness. Wooo! But in all seriousness, there’s something that Wiccans can draw from this – stereotypes are never going to go away, and as the old saying goes – if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em!

Samhain Wallpaper

Samhain is nearly upon us, the time for lighting fires and celebrate the end of summer and the shift of seasons. Intimately tied up with the Halloween and Harvest festivals, the Samhain sabbat is one of the most important times in the wiccan calendar.

This Samhain wallpaper was created by Leah from the celestial dreams blog, and was inspired by a Loreena McKennit song. I can recommend Loreena’s music, I have two of her albums on CD.

Rainbow Pentacle / Pentagram

October 26th, 2010 No comments

The Pentagram is perhaps a little overused when it comes to pagan and wiccan symbolism, but it is universally recognised as the symbol of the occult, and if it’s an inverted pentagram, satanism. Remember to keep the point facing up! I like to think the five points represent the four elements, plus spirit. Really it’s what you make of it though! Be a proud pagan with this rainbow pentagram wallpaper. It’s a bit too in your face for my liking, but if you’re an extroverted kinda practitioner, then you just go right ahead and don’t let me stop you :D

Tree of Life

October 26th, 2010 No comments

The Tree of Life is a common symbol in many Wiccan traditions. Symbolising the Great Mother Godess, with her roots in Earth, alive, green and stretching into the air element, it serves as a powerful metaphor for the nature-centric belief system many Wiccans identify with. This beautiful image is available in all desktop resolutions as a wallpaper for you to meditate on and enjoy every day.

October 26th, 2010 No comments

This is a lovely wiccan wallpaper which will work wonders :) You can map out yule, imbolc, ostara, beltane, the solstices, lughnasadh, mabon, lammas and samhain. It’s like a wicca calendar wheel! These festivals are mainly Celtic in origin and are celebrated in most traditions of witchcraft and paganism. Enjoy it!

Yay! I just bought this domain and it’s going to rock! I’m busy compiling some great wiccan and pagan wallpapers for you to enjoy. I’m hoping to get some good backgrounds online before Yule is upon us.

Don’t you love the tingly expectation. The road ahead is uncertain. Perhaps this will succeed, perhaps not. May the Goddess smile upon this venture! Blessed be!
